When Participating in Discussions

  • Be respectful and professional in all interactions
  • Share relevant experiences and insights
  • Ask thoughtful questions
  • Give credit where credit is due
  • Stay on topic and add value to conversations
  • Report inappropriate behavior to moderators
❌ DON'T:
  • Spam or excessively self-promote
  • Share confidential information without permission
  • Engage in harassment, bullying, or discrimination
  • Post misleading or false information
  • Use offensive language or imagery
  • Hijack discussions for personal agenda

Content Sharing Guidelines

  • Original Content: Share your own insights, experiences, and knowledge
  • Attribution: Always credit sources when sharing others' content
  • Relevance: Ensure content is relevant to entrepreneurship and business growth
  • Quality: Strive for clarity and value in your contributions
  • No Plagiarism: Never pass off others' work as your own

Guidelines for Specific Community Spaces

Forums & Discussion Boards

  • Search before posting to avoid duplicates
  • Use descriptive titles for new topics
  • Mark solutions when your question is answered
  • Stay constructive in debates and disagreements

Comments & Feedback

  • Read the full content before commenting
  • Add value with your comments, not just "Great post!"
  • Be specific when giving feedback
  • Acknowledge different perspectives respectfully

Direct Messages & Networking

  • Introduce yourself professionally
  • Respect others' time and boundaries
  • No unsolicited sales pitches
  • Keep initial messages brief and purposeful

Webinars & Live Events

  • Mute when not speaking
  • Use professional backgrounds and attire
  • Stay engaged and minimize distractions
  • Save questions for designated Q&A times

Prohibited Behavior

The following behaviors will result in warnings, suspension, or permanent removal from the community:
  • Harassment, threats, or hate speech of any kind
  • Discrimination based on race, gender, religion, nationality, or any other factor
  • Sharing explicit, violent, or inappropriate content
  • Impersonating others or creating fake accounts
  • Violating intellectual property rights
  • Attempting to hack, spam, or disrupt the platform
  • Repeatedly violating community guidelines after warnings

Self-Promotion & Commercial Activity

We understand entrepreneurs want to share their work. Here's how to do it appropriately:

Acceptable Self-Promotion:
  • Sharing relevant case studies or lessons learned
  • Answering questions with examples from your business
  • Including a brief signature with your business info
  • Participating in designated promotion threads/events
Unacceptable Promotion:
  • Posting solely to advertise products/services
  • Sending unsolicited DMs with sales pitches
  • Repeatedly linking to your business without context
  • Using community data for marketing purposes

Reporting Issues

Help us maintain a positive community by reporting violations:

  1. Use the "Report" button on posts/comments when available
  2. Contact moderators directly for urgent issues
  3. Email support@leanpivot.ai for serious concerns
  4. Include screenshots or links when reporting

All reports are reviewed promptly and handled confidentially.

Enforcement & Consequences

We use a progressive enforcement approach:

  1. First Violation: Warning and education about guidelines
  2. Second Violation: Temporary suspension (1-7 days)
  3. Third Violation: Extended suspension (30 days)
  4. Severe/Repeated Violations: Permanent removal from community

Severe violations (harassment, hate speech, illegal activity) may result in immediate permanent removal.
